I have played in AYSE for two years, AYCO for one year, AYSO for one year, AYPO Chamber Ensemble for one year, and AYP for four years!
Your advice for young musicians?
Try to create a narrative with every piece you play, it helps bring it to life!
What college/university do you plan on attending this fall?
Vanderbilt University, Double Bass Performance and Pre-law
A favorite, or memorable AYPO experience?
A memorable AYPO experience for me was breaking my stand partners bow right before rehearsal a couple years ago. Thankfully, he had insurance.
What do you hope to do after graduation or your more long-term goals?
I hope to pursue a career in law and to work in a soundtrack orchestra!
What musician, conductor, or orchestra inspires you and why?
Steve Amundson inspires me because his energy and passion radiates off of him when he’s conducting. I learned to let go and delve into the music with his conducting, and I had a lot of fun performing with him!
