What AYPO ensembles have you played in and for how long?

I have played in AYP for 3 years, and was in AYCO for 1 year.

A funny, favorite, or memorable AYPO experience?

My most memorable AYP experience was playing Rachmaninoff's 2nd symphony under the direction of Maestro Zimmerman. The third movement has an extremely significant clarinet solo, and I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to perform it.

What musician inspires you and why?

Sylvia Alimena inspires me because she is very driven and fully dedicates herself to everything she does. She is a very gifted educator and always makes me want to be a better musician.

Your advice for young musicians?

Get involved outside of music! Doing other activities will create a balance in your life, which is so important as you figure out what you want to do after high school.

What do you hope to do after graduation?

I am going to Virginia Tech to study engineering, most likely chemical.
