What AYPO ensembles have you played in and for how long?
Flute Ensemble in 2019 - 2021 and 2023 seasons & Concert Orchestra (AYCO) in 2021-2022 season.
Your advice for young musicians?
The best way to guarantee that your goals and dreams can come true is to work hard. And along with that hard work also come consistency, perseverance, determination, and passion and with that there is nothing you can't achieve.
What college/university do you plan on attending this fall?
The University of North Carolina, School of the Arts, Flute.
A favorite, or memorable AYPO experience?
Getting to perform a piccolo solo with the concert orchestra in the spring concert of 2022. Before that I hadn't had much experience playing the piccolo and it was quite enjoyable to not only improve and test out my piccolo playing skills in a concert setting but also to get to perform a solo with such an incredible youth orchestra program.
What do you hope to do after graduation or your more long-term goals?
In the future I hope to one day have my own flute private flute studio and continue to perform in ensembles as well as engage in solo performances.
What musician, conductor, or orchestra inspires you and why?
One of my favorite musicians is Johann Sebastian Bach because of this quote/piece of advice I hear that he had once said. He said " I worked hard. Anyone who works as hard as I did can achieve the same results ". This quote really spoke to me and helped to set me on the right to path to be able to achieve my goals as a musician and also in life.
