What is your current AYPO ensemble?
AYP
What AYPO ensembles have you played in and for how long?
AYP (22-23, 21-22, 20-21), AYSO (19-20), AYCO (18-19)
Your advice for young musicians?
Occassionally take the time to find pieces you genuinely want to play. Learning how to play my favorite movie soundtracks on my own time was a great way to remind myself of the joy that music offers.
What college/university do you plan on attending this fall?
Dartmouth College, Environmental Studies and Data Science.
A favorite, or memorable AYPO experience?
It was a dark and stormy afternoon - so much so that the lights in the concert hall blacked out sporadically during our performance. It was a basically an unexpected test of how well we knew our music and could stay together!
What do you hope to do after graduation or your more long-term goals?
As of right now, I hope to pursue a career that helps implement sustainable solutions either for businesses or at the government level. No matter what, however, I plan on filling my future with what I love to do (including music) while enriching the lives of those around me.
What musician, conductor, or orchestra inspires you and why?
I really look up to my fellow musicians in AYP. Their dedication, humor, and compassion serve as a model for how I should grow as a musician.
