What AYPO ensembles have you played in and for how long?
I have played in AYP for 3 years.
A funny, favorite, or memorable AYPO experience?
My favorite AYPO experience was when AYP played the Rachmaninoff Symphony No. 2 during my junior year under Maestro Zimmerman. The piece was challenging yet breathtaking, with every movement having something very unique to offer. I am so grateful to have played such an amazing work with so many talented musicians.
What musician inspires you and why?
Hilary Hahn! Before I start any solo repertoire, she’s always one of the first violinists I listen to.
Your advice for young musicians?
Have fun but start building good time management skills. It’ll help a lot during such a busy time in your high school career and beyond.
What do you hope to do after graduation?
I will be attending the College of William and Mary in the fall. I plan on studying business and computer science, but I hope to continue playing in orchestra and other ensembles!
