What is your current AYPO ensemble?
AYP
What AYPO ensembles have you played in and for how long?
I was in AYCO in 2019, AYSO in 2020, and am currently in AYP.
Your advice for young musicians?
Enjoy playing! I understand that playing an instrument can sometimes be stressful, which can make us forget or stray away from the reason why we chose to pursue music. Practicing is also important (don't be like me).
What college/university do you plan on attending this fall?
Cornell University, Communications.
A favorite, or memorable AYPO experience?
My most memorable AYPO experience is when the power went out during our AYP concert last year and us somehow making it through the end of the piece.
What do you hope to do after graduation or your more long-term goals?
In college, I hope to continue playing violin on the side. I look forward to engaging in research relating to my major and possibly studying abroad!
What musician, conductor, or orchestra inspires you and why?
A musician that inspires me is Hilary Hahn. I think that she's such a talented violinist, and I always listen to her playing as reference and for inspiration. And Dr. Dixon of course!
