What AYPO ensembles have you played in and for how long?
I’ve been part of AYPO since 2016 in AYCO & AYSO.
Your advice for young musicians?
Listening to a lot of music and different interpretations of the same pieces is a great way to become more expressive!
What college/university do you plan on attending this fall?
I will be attending the University of Chicago! I’m still somewhat undecided, but am considering majors in Russian, Linguistics, and Art History.
A favorite, or memorable AYPO experience?
I loved rehearsing Dvorak’s 8th symphony before quarantine last year, especially because it was my last normal orchestra experience.
What do you hope to do after graduation?
I will be taking a gap year to study Russian in Moldova through a government scholarship program (NSLI-Y), which I hope will help me become fluent in Russian.
