When we have sectionals, it is a great bonding time where we get to know each other better.

What musician inspires you and why?

There are professional performers that inspire me with there abilities, but it is the musicians around me that inspire me everyday. They help me become a better player through their dedication. I’m inspired by what we can accomplish together.

Your advice for young musicians?

Never to give up. Examine the reasons of why you play. It is not about accomplishments. It is the emotions you are sharing through your music. Find a personal moment in music that will help you through the tough times. Enjoy the music you make.

What do you hope to do after graduation?

I plan on attending the University of North Texas - School of Music. I will be studying flute performance with Professor Terri Sundberg.
